Our teams of Volunteer Trainers come from all walks of life and are based all over Scotland. It is a helpful start for you to have previously attended first aid training (however long ago) and we'll then teach you the rest. You don’t need to have any prior training or medical/healthcare experience just your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
The Training
L2BH Emergency Life Support Training aims to strengthen community resilience by sharing practical life saving skills and the confidence to manage life-threatening situation, with ordinary members of the public. Our training session includes hands-on experience of delivering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation [CPR] and the use of a Defibrillator (AED). L2BH Training is based on Best Practice Guidelines as set by the Resuscitation Council UK.
The Commitment
We simply ask that you will keep up your skills by delivering/co-delivering at least one Emergency Life Support Training course per year. We provide all of the equipment, training materials and updates that you will need. We can cover all reasonable expenses too.
Getting started
First step is to let us know you’re interested. We’ll put you in touch with an existing Training Team so that you can observe the training in action. We’ll then get you signed up to the next available Train The Trainers Course.
Train The Trainers Courses run from 10am-4pm and cover all you need to know, how to deliver the training, information on the background to the charity and how we work. Attending the course is essential and we will then pair you up with an experienced training team to get some hands on experience delivering.
